As the Vice President of Operations at Boston Energy Trading and Marketing, Tom Green brings over 30 years of invaluable experience in the energy and utility industry. He expertly oversees scheduling, dispatching, and settlements across all US markets, ensuring seamless operations. Tom's career began in the US Navy, where he honed his technical skills at the US Naval Nuclear Power School and served on the USS Long Beach (CGN-9) as a qualified Electrical Operator and Shutdown Reactor Operator. Following his honorable discharge, he advanced his career at City of Pasadena Water & Power and Eugene Water & Electric Board in roles focused on substation operation and power dispatching. Tom joined the BETM organization in 1998, starting with the Edison Source group in California before relocating to Boston after the acquisition of Citizens Power in 2000. His extensive expertise in managing bidding, scheduling, and settlement activities for both fossil and renewable generation across various US ISOs has made him a pivotal part of the team. He excels in establishing operating protocols, developing reporting systems, and fostering strong client interactions, serving as a primary contact for market operations at client facilities.
